Kelly Washington, is not a person, but the name of a new winery established in 2016 by Tamra Washington (winemaker of Serisin) and her husband Simon Kelly.
Tamra Washington is an award-winning young winemaker and extremely respected in her field. At Kelly Washington the source high-quality grapes from various regions with a strong focus on terroir-driven wine.
Their refined Pinot Noir is made from specially selected grapes from the Gibbston sub-region in Central Otago.

winemaking: 80% destemmed fruit. Spontaneous ferment in open top vessels, with punch down twice daily. Maturation in 20% new oak (puncheons and barrique), rest in used oak for total of 10 months. No fining or filtration.

Smaksnotat:
Pale ruby colour. Aromatic with wild herbs, sweet spice, vibrant crushed wild strawberries and raspberries. On the palate, fine acidity, quite crunchy red fruit, yet elegant with silky tannins, depth, structure and length. Good value for money.
